About The Seminar
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers found in men, resulting in 14% of new cancer cases in 2022. After lung cancer, it is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men. Five-year relative survival rates remain high in patients with localized or regional disease and dramatically decline in patients with distant disease. Major medical society meetings (ie, ASCO, PCF, AACR etc) are an essential forum for the dissemination of key scientific data impacting the treatment of today’s patients with prostate cancer; however, interpretation of the data and subsequent application to clinical practice may be lacking. The European Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference addresses important questions in the clinical management of prostate cancer specific to European regulatory needs and issues relevant to the care of patients with prostate cancer in the United States may remain unaddressed. Thirty-five to forty experts in the field will convene for a 2-day meeting taking place in San Francisco, California to discuss, debate, and vote on clinical questions.
